Registration to Hoas online services

In MyHoas you can

  • fill in the move-in report
  • message our customer service
  • fill a fault report
  • check your payment information
  • apply for parking space
  • and manage many other housing related matters

Applicant service for exchange students

Use the online applicant service only to:

  • Accept the exchange student housing offer
  • Pay the furnished apartment deposit

Exchange students must accept a housing offer and pay the deposit in the applicant online service. Using the service requires registration. Register as soon as you have applied for an apartment – this makes accepting the housing offer much quicker and easier when we can send you an offer. Register as a user following the instructions below. When your tenancy agreement begins, you can log in to MyHoas with the same credentials you have created.

Register as a user

By registering in applicant service and MyHoas, you can log in with the combination of your email and password.

To register as a user, use the same email address you have previously given to Hoas. This is the same email address you filled in the apartment application form. When you register, we need to verify your identity since the service processes personal data. More information about the data we process can be found in our privacy policy.

Verification of identity

You can identify yourself using Finnish bank credentials, mobile ID, or text message identification.

Finnish bank credentials or mobile ID

  • Go to the login page for exchange students or tenants
  • Choose Register as a user, then Strong identification and Identification.
  • You are directed to strongly identify yourself in Telia’s service. Follow the instructions on the identification service.
  • When identification is complete, enter your email address and choose a password. Check instructions for passwords.
  • You’ll receive an email with a link to confirm your credentials. The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours.

Identification via SMS

Use text message identification (SMS authentication) if you don’t have Finnish bank credentials or mobile ID.

  • Go to the login page for exchange students or tenants
  • Choose Register as a user and SMS authentication.
  • Enter your email and phone number, and order a single-use code to your phone.
  • You’ll receive a code in a text message sent by Hoas. This code will be valid for two minutes.
  • Enter the code in the provided space.
  • Enter your email address and choose a password. Check instructions for passwords.
  • You’ll receive an email with a link to confirm your credentials. The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours.

If you didn’t receive the text message

If the requested text message with a code doesn’t arrive, we can create the identification for you.

  • Send a copy of your identification document or passport in an encrypted email to customerservice@hoas.fi.
  • We will contact you when identification is completed and you can continue creating your credentials.
  • Go to the login page for exchange students or tenants
  • Choose Register as a user and Office identification.
  • Enter your email address and choose a password. Check instructions for passwords.
  • You’ll receive an email with a link to confirm your credentials. The confirmation link is valid for 24 hours.

Can I use online services without registration?

If you have Finnish bank credentials or mobile ID, you can authenticate yourself each time using identification service when you log in.

Changing your password

Request a link to change your password on the login page. The link will be sent to your email from noreply@tampuuri.fi. The link is valid for 24 hours.

Password requirements

The password must contain a minimum of six characters of which

  • at least one must be an uppercase letter,
  • at least one must be a lowercase letter,
  • at least one must be a number, AND
  • at least one must be a symbol.

Changing your username

Your username to our online services is your email address. If your email address changes, update your new email in your personal information in MyHoas. Updating your email doesn’t change your username and you can keep logging in using your previous e-mail address.

If you want to also change your username, you need to register as a user with your new e-mail address. Remember to update your new e-mail address to your information beforehand.

Problems with registration?

  • Check your login username. Are you trying to register with the same email address that is on Hoas systems? We have the email address you have provided for us on the housing application.
  • If registration is not working, you can always contact our customer service.
