Returning the keys

Keys are returned to Caverion key machine near your home. These machines are mainly located in grocery stores operated by the K Group, and the machines are available during the stores’ opening hours. You will receive message from Caverion three days before your tenancy ends. The message states the precise location of the key machine, PIN code needed to open the locker, and the number of keys to be returned. You can return the keys as soon as you’ll have the PIN code.

Return the key before 9 am on the next business day after your tenancy ends. If the day after your tenancy ends is a weekend or public holiday, the keys must be returned before 9 am on the following business day.

PIN code is valid only until 9 am. If you miss the deadline, you must immediately take the key to Caverion’s Vitikka office (Vitikka 4 A, Espoo). If you don’t return the key at all, the apartment lock will have to be rekeyed – the cost can be up to 200 euros, and it will be charged to you.

Never send the keys by mail or leave the keys at your apartment, or give them to the next tenant.

All parking-related keys, remotes, and permissions must be returned to Caverion office at Vitikka 4 A, Espoo (open Mon-Fri 8 am – 4 pm). Car-related keys etc. can not be returned to the key machine.

Return all keys and permissions related to the apartment, parking, or common areas you have gotten. In addition to the key of the apartment, you might have a key to your room in shared apartment, to the waste collection system, mail box, parking permit, or laundry card and lock. If you have keys you have gotten from the tenant committee, such as a club room key, return those directly to the committee.

Return the keys by 9 AM on the next business day after your tenancy ends. You can collect the keys to your new home according to the instructions starting at 12 noon.
