Comfortable living in Vermonniitty
New student housing in Vermonniitty. This eight-storey house has a total of 122 one-room apartments and 14 family apartments.
The apartments are comfy with a modern finish; the floors are vinyl planks of light oak, and the walls are white. The bathrooms have grey, matte tiled floors and white wall tiles, with an effect wall of grey faux concrete consisting of matte tiles.
The building’s first floor has a bike shelter with numbered racks, a laundry room with washing machines and dryers that you can use free of charge, and a clubroom. You can find the sauna available to all tenants and a second clubroom with an outdoor terrace on the top floor.
The new student housing is on the street of Anna Sahlsténin katu, in the new residential area of Vermonniitty. Vermonniitty forms part of Leppävaara, right on the border of Helsinki and Espoo, making it easy to go shopping in Sello or do some outdoor exercise in Tali.
You have two train stations close by - Leppävaara and Mäkkylä - so if you want to go, for example, to the Pasila campus of Haaga-Helia, the train will take you there in 10 minutes and the Helsinki railway station is only 15 minutes away. Bus line 550 will take you straight to the campus of Aalto University and to other schools in, for instance, Haaga. The bus route to Laurea in Leppävaara runs next to the building, and if you decide to go by bike, you will be there in 10 minutes.
The Leppävaara centre and Sello are a walking distance away, so the service offering is great. In Perkkaa you can also find a corner shop for your everyday needs.
There are several options for spending time and exercising outdoors in the near vicinity. The beautiful seascapes of Laajalahti are a mere kilometre away and the seashore marks the starting point of Rantaraitti, a 40-kilometre trail. Both Leppävaara and Tali offer sports parks, swimming pools, and exercise tracks. Tali also has frisbee golf and agility courses, plus an idyllic allotment garden area. The main Finnish harness racetrack in Vermo is very near.
As a tenant of this property, you also have an opportunity to get an additional digital key (iLOQ S50).
