Faults and emergencies

During your tenancy, you may encounter various faults or disruptions. Here are instructions for the most common situations. In cases where life or property is at risk, always call the emergency services at 112.

Power outage

  • Check that the fuse has not blown.
  • Is there a larger fault or disruption in the power grid? You can check, for example, Caruna’s outage map, which displays power grid issues in Finland.
  • If neither of the above is the cause, contact the property janitor or submit a fault report.

Water outage

  • In the Helsinki metropolitan area, HSY is responsible for water distribution. On HSY’s website, you can find instructions on how to handle different water-related faults. You can also check the website for up-to-date information on water outages and disruptions that may affect your residential area.

Internet

  • The internet service on the property is provided by DNA, Telia, or Trinet.
  • In case of issues, you can contact your service provider directly.
  • In most properties, the service provider is DNA. If your internet is not working, check DNA’s website for up-to-date service disruption notices.
