New student homes in seaside Kruunuvuorenranta
The new student homes in Kruunuvuorenranta blend comfortable living with a seaside location. The property will be completed in January 2026.
The property consists of two buildings offering 137 new homes - mostly studios and a few two-room apartments. The homes are designed for student life: functional layouts, high-quality materials, and modern shared spaces ensure both comfort and convenience.
White walls and wood-patterned vinyl plank flooring provide a great canvas for personal interior design choices. Kitchen cabinets are white, with dark grey countertops and backsplashes. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and sorting bins for seven different types of waste.
Tenants have access to shared club rooms and a laundry room. The highlight of the complex is two top-floor saunas, offering magnificent views. Each tenant also has a numbered bicycle spot in a locked bike storage area. The property is entirely car-free. Tenants can also use Kruunuverkko’s shared facilities, such as the gym located opposite the Hoas building
The under-construction Kruunuvuori bridges will open to pedestrian and cycling traffic in spring 2026, allowing quick and easy access across the sea to downtown by bike or on foot. Tram service will begin in 2027, making the city center reachable in just 15–20 minutes.
Kruunuvuorenranta also has easy waterway access to the center. A ferry operates year-round between Kruunuvuorenranta and Meritullintori, with a journey time of about 20 minutes. HSL AB zone tickets are valid for the ferry, which runs slightly less frequently on winter weekends.
The sea and nature are just steps away, offering a peaceful contrast to busy student life. The former villa area of Kruunuvuori and Kruunuvuorenlampi form a nature reserve, where visitors can enjoy tranquility and scenic hiking trails.
In summer, refreshing swimming spots are within easy reach: Tullisaari swimming area, Hevossalmi beach, and the popular Mustikkamaa beach are all nearby. In winter, cold-water swimming is available at the nearby Stansvik Manor.
Water charges at the property are consumption-based. The fee is paid as a monthly advance together with rent and is adjusted every four months. The water advance is 25 € for studios and 35 € for two-room apartments.
