The Best Student Housing competition
The campaign highlights the best aspects of student housing. It is organized by the Finnish Student Housing Association (SOA) and student housing communities from across Finland.
Instructions for Participation
Send a photo, video, or short text story about your favorite part of student housing to Hoas (hoas_fi) via Instagram DM by May 15, 2026.
Three winners will be selected at random from among the participants and will receive a GoGift gift card (worth €30).
Rules for the Best Student Housing competition

Concept
In the “Best Student Housing” contest, participants take photos or videos or write a story and submit their entries to Hoas. Hoas may share the submitted content on its Instagram account @hoas_fi and other communication channels.
Participation
All Hoas residents who are at least 18 years old are eligible to enter the drawing.
To enter the giveaway, send a photo or photos, a video, or a short written story about what you love most about student housing via a private message on Instagram to @hoas_fi.
By entering the “Best Student Housing” giveaway, participants grant Hoas permission to post their photo on Hoas’s Instagram account @hoas_fi.
Participation period
The participation period is May 4–15, 2026.
Prizes
A total of three GoGift Super Gift Cards (worth €30) will be raffled off among all participants who have entered in accordance with the rules. If the prize is not available at the end of the raffle, an equivalent product will be awarded instead.
Draw
The drawing will take place on May 19.
Notification and publication of winners
Winners will be notified personally via Instagram Direct Messages, and the prize will be shipped to the address provided by each winner. The address must be located in Finland. In addition to their home address, winners must provide their name and phone number.
If the winner cannot be reached within two weeks of the drawing, a new winner may be selected. Unclaimed prizes will not be replaced and cannot be exchanged for cash.
The results of the drawing will be announced on Hoas’s Instagram account after the drawing has taken place. The winner’s first name or other nickname may be published on Hoas’s Instagram account, website, or other similar media without separate consent.
Binding rules
These rules are binding on all participants. Any ambiguities regarding the application or interpretation of these rules shall be resolved by the Organizer. The Organizer of the drawing reserves the right to amend these rules. The Organizer has the right to disqualify participants who act in violation of the rules or engage in fraudulent behavior.
Organizer’s liability
The prize winner releases the Organizer from any liability arising from or alleged to have arisen from participation in this drawing or from the acceptance of the prize. The prize winner also releases the Organizer from all liability regarding the subsequent use of the prize or any defects therein, as well as from all liability concerning any injury or damage caused or alleged to have been caused by participation in this sweepstakes or by redeeming or using the prize. However, this release of liability does not affect the consumer’s rights under the Consumer Protection Act. The Organizers’ liability to participants shall not exceed the value or amount of the prize specified in these rules.

The information listed above will be collected from the winners of the drawing after the drawing has been conducted.
Regular disclosure of data
Customer data will not be disclosed to any parties other than the Organizer or third parties acting on its behalf to maintain or develop the service, or third parties with whom it collaborates. Data will not be transferred or disclosed outside the EU or the EEA.
Principles of register protection
The data controller’s information systems and files are protected using standard technical security measures employed in business operations.
Right of access and right to rectification
Every person listed in the registry has the right to review the information stored about them in the registry and to request that any incorrect information be corrected or that any incomplete information be supplemented. If a person wishes to review the information stored about them or request a correction, the request must be submitted in writing to the data controller. If necessary, the data controller may ask the person making the request to verify their identity.
