The Prettiest Student Home in Finland 2025 competition

Is your student apartment affordable yet beautiful and cozy? Take part in The Prettiest Student Home in Finland 2025 competition!

We’re looking for the prettiest, budget-friendly student home in Finland. The competition is organised by The Finnish Associations of Student Housing Organisations SOA ry and other student housing organisations in Finland.

How to participate:

  • Send 1–3 photos of your apartment to Hoas via Instagram DM by 4 June 2025.
  • Include the type of apartment, residential area, and monthly rent.

Three winners will be drawn from among the participants and awarded with an S Group gift card (value €40).

Additionally, every participant will automatically enter the national competition, where the winner is selected by a panel of experts. The criteria are the beauty and coziness of the home as well as its affordability. The grand prize of the national competition is a €500 gift card to the Finnish Design Shop.

Concept

In the competition, participants take 1–3 photos of their apartment and submit the photos and some information about the apartment (type, monthly rent, residential area) to Hoas. Hoas may share the images and submitted information on its Instagram account @hoas_fi and through other communication channels.

Participation

All Hoas tenants aged 18 or over can participate in the draw.

To participate, send 1–3 photos of your apartment along with the apartment type, monthly rent, and residential area via Instagram direct message to @hoas_fi.

By entering the Finland’s most beautiful student home 2025 draw, the participant gives Hoas permission to publish their photos on Hoas’s Instagram account @hoas_fi.

All participants who submit their photos in accordance with the rules will also automatically enter the national competition. The national winner will be selected by a jury of experts, based on the home’s beauty, coziness, and affordability. The grand prize of the national competition is a €500 gift card to the Finnish Design Shop. For the national competition, Hoas will only provide the jury with the submitted photos, not any additional information.

Participation period

The participation period is from 20 May to 4 June 2025.

Prizes

Three S Group gift cards (value €40) will be raffled among participants who meet the requirements. If the prize is unavailable at the time of the draw, a similar product will be offered instead.

The national competition winner will receive a €500 gift card to the Finnish Design Shop.

Draw

The draw will take place on 6 June.

Notification and publication of winners

Winners will be notified via Instagram direct message and the prize will be sent to the address provided by each winner. The address must be in Finland. In addition to the home address, the winner must provide their name and phone number.

If a winner cannot be reached within two weeks of the draw, a new winner may be drawn. Unclaimed prizes will not be compensated or converted into cash.

The result of the draw will be announced on Hoas’s Instagram account after the draw. The first name or nickname of the winner may be published on Hoas’s Instagram, website, or other similar media without separate consent. The same applies to the winner of the national competition.

Binding rules

These rules are binding for all participants. Any ambiguities in the interpretation or application of the rules will be resolved by the Organizer. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the rules. The Organizer may disqualify participants who act fraudulently or against the rules.

Organizer’s liability

The prize winner releases the Organizer from all liability arising from participation in the competition or acceptance of the prize. The prize winner also releases the Organizer from any liability relating to the use of the prize or any defects in the prize, as well as any injury or damage claimed to result from participation or prize redemption or use. However, this disclaimer does not limit the consumer rights provided under consumer protection law. The Organizer’s liability to participants shall not exceed the value or amount of the prizes specified in these rules.

The competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.

By entering the competition, each participant releases Instagram from all liability related to the competition.

Each individual in the register has the right to access their stored data and to request correction of incorrect or incomplete data.
