We start sending text message reminders about unpaid invoices
The text message is sent a week after the due date
If the rent or another payment is unpaid a week after the due date of the rent invoice, you will receive an automatic text message from us. The message reminds you to pay the bill. These messages are always sent out on the 14th of the month.
A text message may be sent even if you have just paid the bill in question. It may take a few days for the money to transfer from your account to us, and you do not need to inform us about it.
This is just a reminder
The message does not mean that the payment is transferred to a collection agency yet. However, it is good to pay overdue invoices as soon as you receive a message so that the debt will not start accumulating.
With text messages, we want to help prevent anyone from accumulating a large amount of unpaid bills. A new rent is due every month, so debt can easily start to accumulate.
At best, text reminders reduce evictions that are caused by a large number of unpaid fees.
The unpaid amount can be seen in MyHoas
The text message does not show how much unpaid fees you have. Check the exact amount in MyHoas.
The message contains a link to the MyHoas login page, but you can also go there through your own browser without clicking the link. The sender of the message is Hoas – Helsingin seudun opiskelija-asuntosäätiö sr.

The reminder text message cannot be replied to. You don’t need to inform us when you handle the invoice. We’ll see when the money comes.
